Quote of the Week:
"He may look like an idiot and talk like an idiot but don't let that fool you. He really is an idiot."

Cool:
"Wirelessly-enabled Drinking Glasses"
There are two drinking glasses, one for each person. When someone touches or takes a sip out of one glass, the other will start to glow, and vice versa, wirelessly, and across long distances. This will " help people feel as if they are sharing a drinking experience together" and make them feel connected, even if they are geographically separate.

Interesting:
"Complexity causes half of all product returns?"
Basically: Half of all people who return products are too stupid to use them...

"Unconscious mind better for making complex decisions"
I always knew that it was better for me to play Spider Solitaire and surf the Internet rather than focus on my work...

Fun:
"World Of Warcraft the Text Adventure"
What if WOW was a text adventure game? This is a sample of what your quests might be like...

Odd:
"Subdermal Implants: Body Modification"
A new fad in body modification is the implantation of objects (for example using surgical grade silicone stars, or rings) underneath the skin to create ridges or bumps on the body. Ever want Klingon-like forehead ridges? well now you can...

Lover's cups

Submitted by veridicus on March 10, 2006 - 5:26pm.

Those "lover's cups" are really interesting. What a cool idea! I don't think I'd ever care to use it but it's amazing someone even thought it up.

Lover's cups aka. wirelessly enabled cups

Submitted by HAL9000 on March 10, 2006 - 5:45pm.

Well, the minute my girlfriend (yes I am a geek and I have a girlfriend) sees this, she'll love them (something to do with women needing more of an emotional connection with other people).

Even though we are big tough men... well... at least our ego's are big tough... well... we say that we are big and tough... well... we e-mail saying that we are big and tough... well... ok... we blog that we are big and tough.... I can see that something like this would melt the heart of another woman (aka. Significant other), if it is used with the proper intentions.

Girlfriends and cups

Submitted by veridicus on March 11, 2006 - 12:03pm.

Hmmm... when my girlfriend (yes I'm a geek and I have a girlfriend, too) meets me in the coffee shop I'm sitting in at the moment I'm going to show her that MIT page. I think I see a cool gift in her future...
