Since Slashdot introduced their overhauled comment threading system our script to fetch comments has occasionally failed. For me the rate of failure has been around 1 in 10. I was certain it was some sort of HTML parsing issue in our Perl script. After a change to how the script handles paragraph tags it's finally working in cases where it was previously failing.
